For 40 years, the Lion Half Marathon has brought together running enthusiasts along a symbolic route: starting near the Château de Montbéliard and finishing in Belfort, under the imposing gaze of Bartholdi's Lion.
Three race formats
This year again, the party will be on! Ten bands will take turns over the last ten kilometers to create a thrilling atmosphere and give you the energy to cross the finish line.
Entertainment, lively rhythms, and the fervor of the crowd will punctuate your race.

The Lion Half Marathon 2025
For 40 years, the Lion Half Marathon has brought together running enthusiasts along a symbolic route: starting near the Château de Montbéliard and finishing in Belfort, under the imposing gaze of Bartholdi's Lion.
Three race formats
- 5 km: a format accessible to all, perfect for beginners or those looking to test their fitness over a short distance. Two starts are available: a timed one reserved for women and a mixed, untimed, free-paced one.
- 10 km: an intermediate distance, ideal for taking on a challenge without aiming for the half marathon.
- Half Marathon (21.097 km): the major event, reserved for the most fit. This legendary course holds a record of 59'53", set in 2019.
