Discover the Science Pavilion in Montbéliard
For budding scientists and curious visitors of all ages, the Pavillon des Sciences in Montbéliard offers a different, fun, and accessible way to discover science. Located in the Près-la-Rose Park, this unique venue transforms every visit into an exciting adventure!
At the Espace Galilée, the permanent exhibition "Discovery Island" invites children aged 4 to 9 to follow in the footsteps of a shipwrecked captain.
Engaging all five senses, they will explore an exotic island filled with treasures, flora, fauna, and cultures from around the world.
Until August 31, 2025, older visitors can dive into the temporary exhibition "Oops! At the Heart of Mistakes," a fun and uninhibited exploration of the failures that have shaped science and history.
From tarte Tatin to major scientific errors, this exhibition demonstrates that sometimes you have to fail to succeed!
Just a stone's throw from the town center, Près-la-Rose Park offers an ideal nature break before or after your visit.
During your stroll, you'll come across giant sculptures (ant, butterfly), scientific curiosities (mineral tuning fork, singing megalith, Galileo fountain), and even a working outdoor Foucault pendulum.
Not to mention the Giant Meridian, the 20-meter-high Scaphé, and a fun plant maze for the whole family.
As an extension of Près-la-Rose, Île en Mouvement Park invites young and old to experience their own body in motion through fun trails lined with games and explanatory panels. Hearing, balance, movement, teamwork... An outdoor scientific exploration ground, perfect for learning while having fun!
Prices:
Adults: €4.50
Children ages 6 to 18: €3
Free for children under 6
After a day of discovery at the Science Pavilion, return to the peace and comfort of the La Vieille Ferme hotel-restaurant in Étupes.
